Hello, my name is JJ and I am a fledging, somewhat self taught designer.
WHEW! That was hard to say. Being someone who loves fashion but that fashion doesn't necessarily love back is difficult. Sure, the promise of Fashion Week beckons to all who desire to visually express themselves, whether it's through the actual clothes, the hair, the makeup, or the accessories. The proverbial rub is when you enthusiastically want to take [it] home and the designer/industry/retail store stares at you incredulously because your figure is not what they designed for. *Sigh*
So I decided to do it for myself. I have a sewing machine, fabric, tools and time. And I have two vastly important traits- determination and patience!
My goals: to teach myself new techniques, to learn exactly what looks devastatingly fabulous on me, and to expand my wardrobe two meticulously fitted garments at a time!
